This past weekend brought some surprising turns as the days left to vote in KPopStarz's mid-year polls dwindle.

Though veteran group Shinhwa continues to dominate in every category, their once iron-clad grip on first seems to be slipping, especially in the category of Best K-Pop Artist, as the margin between first and second is less than 3 percent. With 16.23 percent of the votes, Shinhwa's Eric remains in first but TVXQ's U-Know Yunho is closing in fast. Claiming 13.44 percent of the votes, U-Know Yunho holds onto second while JYJ's Jaejoong makes an impressive jump to third with 9.01 percent.

In an equally impressive move, JYJ bandmate Yoochun claims 8.1 percent of the votes knocking Shinhwa's Minwoo down to fifth. Bandmates Andy, Dongwan, Hyesung and Jun Jin continue to monopolize their positions in the Top Ten, leaving SNSD's Jessica Jung to claim tenth with 3.11 percent of the votes.

In the category of Best K-Pop Group, Shinhwa still holds onto first but their once significant lead over the competition has dwindled. With less than 10 percent standing between first and second, Super Junior has their sights set on first, claiming 20.48 percent of the votes as their own. With 14.45 percent of the votes, INFINITE continues to hold onto third.

With 10.26 percent of the votes, EXO continues to claim fourth as their own, while 4.96 percent secures TVXQ fifth. 4.06 percent of the votes go to BTS, who comes in sixth, giving them a 0.79 percent lead over seventh place GOT7. CNBLUE comes in eighth, a mere 0.3 percent standing between them and BEAST, who comes in ninth over Big Bang. With 1.78 percent of the votes, Big Bang holds onto the final position in the Top Ten but Boyfriend isn't ready to call this one just yet. With 0.1 percent of the votes standing between Boyfriend and Big Bang this one is definitely too close to call.

Shinhwa's "Sniper" continues to hold the number 1 position in the category of Best K-Pop Song with 36.11 percent of the votes. Second place track, Super Junior D&E's "Growing Pains," comes in with 14.47 percent of the votes, while INFINITE H's "Pretty" holds third with 10.87 percent.

EXO's "Call Me Baby" continues to hold fourth with 10.7 percent of the votes while SHINee's "View" continues to hold steady in fifth. BTS' "I NEED U" takes a 0.03 percent lead over Jung Yong Hwa's "One Fine Day" but once again the competition for sixth is too close to call. Big Bang's "Loser" takes eighth with a 0.12 percent lead over GOT7's "Around the World," which comes in at ninth. 0.1 percent stands between GOT7's Japanese single and Junsu's "Flower," proving that the competition amongst the Top Ten is fierce.

Will Shinhwa be able to claim number 1 in all three categories or will there be a last-minute upset? That's entirely up to you! Just remember, the polls close tomorrow so be sure vote now!
