Is "Batman V Superman" actor Henry Cavill ready to become the next James Bond?

Gina Carano's ex-boyfriend was one of the actors who were rumored to succeed Daniel Craig in the new incarnation of James Bond and Henry Cavill was very vocal about his desire to play the sexy spy.

In fact, he auditioned for the role when he was just 22 years old but lost to Daniel Craig.

"I obviously wasn't right for Bond. I did, and I wasn't right. That's all," he said.

"I think it was a good decision, they [the producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael Faith] made that choice to maintain the trademark and the level of quality of the film, and it worked perfectly. Bond has that type of unique class, and Daniel Craig incarnates it very well," added the "Batman V Superman" actor.

Henry Cavill even said, "He modernizes the character and shows everything a spy knows how to do while keeping his fantastic 'coolness' that every guy dreams to have."

"Previous actors who took on the role of 007 were virtual unknowns. In fact, portraying James Bond was seen as a springboard for their career," noted Christian Today. "Among the actors who previously played James Bond include Sean Connery, David Niven, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Craig."

Now, a poster form "The Man From U.N.C.L.E" shows that "Batman V Superman" star Henry Cavill certainly has the body and the charm to play James Bond.

In the poster, Gina Carano's ex-boyfriend is seen wearing a blue pinstriped suit with large 70s sunglasses as he looks sideways at the camera. He's also holding a pistol equipped with a silencer.

In the film, Henry Cavill also plays a spy ala James Bond.

The synopsis reads, "Set against the backdrop of the early 1960s, at the height of the Cold War, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. centers on U.N.C.L.E. agents Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuryakin. The two team up on a joint mission to stop a mysterious international criminal organization, which is bent on destabilizing the fragile balance of power through the proliferation of nuclear weapons and technology."

"The duo's only lead is the daughter of a vanished German scientist, who is the key to infiltrating the criminal organization, and they must race against time to find him and prevent a worldwide catastrophe."
