Following the release of their July 1 singles "If You" and "Sober," Big Bang shot to the top of the music charts all around Asia.

The two tracks are contained on the YG Entertainment group's third single album 'D' from their 'MADE Series' in which they will be releasing two tracks each month up until the full "MADE" album release on September 1.

In South Korea, the latest tracks swept over the real time charts of various music sites upon its release and "If You" also topped MelOn, Bugs, Mnet, Genie , Naver, and Olleh's daily charts. Similarly, "Sober" ranked number 2 on Bugs, Mnet, Genie, Naver, and Olleh and showed off the group's continuing popularity.

Big Bang's winning streak has been affecting China's music charts as well. "If You" and "Sober" took over QQ's number 1 and number 2 spots ahead of talented Chinese artists. The group previously reigned over QQ's audio and music video charts last month with their June 1 tracks "Bang Bang Bang" and "We Like 2 Party."

Many Big Bang related terms such as "BigBang," "BigBangFighting," and "Sober" also became some of the most searched keywords on Weibo, China's Twitter-like social media network,  upon the release of "D" and proved the group's influence in the global music world.

Other parts of Asia are giving hot responses as well. By 2 PM KST of July 1, just 14 hours after its initial release, "If You" topped iTunes single charts across 10 countries (Brunei, Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia). "Sober" was also ranked number 2 in Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, and Brunei.

In the midst of the group's chart-dominating reign, Billboard columnist Jeff Benjamin praised Big Bang's new tracks and commented, "The boys are back with 'Sober,' which comes accompanied with another wild music video, along with a new ballad, 'If You.'"

"'Sober' boasts lush guitars mixed with pounding percussion, making it rather reminiscent to 'Crooked,'" Benjamin wrote. "In addition to 'Sober,' 'If You' is the quintet's most emotional piece yet. The cut is centered around sparse guitar strums, impassioned belts and haunting croons throughout the chorus."

Meanwhile, the "Sober" music video featuring colorful cinematography and dreamlike storyline surpassed 4.5 million views at the time of publishing.
