Boy Band Faceoff? Big Bang's 'Sober' Accused Of Plagiarizing 'Glad You Came' By The Wanted

Big Bang may be "Made," but the K-pop group has come under fire from fans for allegedly copying another popular boy band.

On Tuesday, a video surfaced on YouTube comparing Big Bang's latest single "Sober" to "Glad You Came" by The Wanted. Since uploading, the video has garnered nearly 200,000 views.

But not everyone believes the two tracks sound similar.

"Am I the only one who doesn't even know why these two songs are being compared because they sound nothing alike?" asked YouTube viewer Hello Stranger.

This is not the first time accusations of plagiarism have surfaced against artists members of Big Bang.

In January, singer Derrick Bullock also accused singer Taeyang of copying his song "Change Me" for the Big Bang member's 2014 single, "Eyes, Nose, Lips."

"Derrick Bullock's single (written four years ago contrary to popular belief) documentation and dated video feeds are available from 2008 videotaping me composing this music," wrote Bullock in the video's description.

"It does not belong to a Korean band. It was stolen from me and used in music in Korea four years ago. Before you start telling Derrick he stole this music, get your facts straight. Video and paper documentation are available for proof that all rights belong to Derrick Bullock."

Bullock's music was removed from YouTube and iTunes after YG Entertainment subsequently accused the singer of illegally using the instrumentals from "Eyes, Nose, Lips."

"In the recent past days, we have become aware of Derrick Bullock's illegal use of our music and after our strong protest towards Derrick Bullock and music distribution sites, the services for his song on YouTube and iTunes have been stopped," stated the company according to allkpop.

"In addition to those sites, his song will soon be removed from various other music platforms as well."
