LeeSsang Announce 1st Album In 3 Years

Iconic hip hop duo LeeSsang will be releasing a new album this July, breaking their three-year hiatus, reports Allkpop.

A representative from LeeSsang Company, the namesake agency which handles promotions for the duo composed of Gil and Gary, confirmed their comeback plans.

"LeeSsang will reveal a digital single on July 15," the representative reportedly told StarNews.

"Once releasing their song, they do not have plans to promote on broadcast. The priority is to release the new music they have prepared to their fans," the representative added.

LeeSsang will be coming off a three-year break since finishing promotions for their 2012 album Unplugged.

Unplugged as well as their two other most recent albums, Hexagonal in 2009 and Asura Balbalta in 2011, broke records and ushered the pair into mainstream music stardom.

The album release confirmation comes after reports that Gil will be returning to the public scene after spending most of 2014 out of the spotlight after being charged with driving under the influence.

Gil's comeback public appearance was reported to be a 19+ rated talk concert at the Olympic Park in Seoul on July 5. As suggested by the mature rating, the talk concert will be discussing many taboo subjects, and Gil will be joined by singer Skull and entertainer Haha.
