Male K-Pop Idols Dominate Twitter Music Trends In Korea For 1st Half Of 2015

Twitter's most popular search keywords for the first half of the year have been released.

Twitter Korea revealed the rankings of the ten most popular keyword searches on July 7. The searches are divided into three categories: Society, Music, and TV/Film.

For music, Korean boy groups dominated the list with only male groups and idols appearing in the top ten. BTS took the first place slot, followed by VIXX and EXO. All three of these groups have made explosive comebacks within the first half of the year.

BTS released their mini-album The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Pt.1 which received accolades from all over the world. Their title song from the album, "I Need U," also earned the group their first music show win since debut.

VIXX returned back in February with their anticipated remake track "Love Equation" while EXO has dominated charts and music shows with their "Call Me Baby" comeback and "Love Me Right" repackage. The rest of the idols and artists mentioned have also made waves with their comebacks or are gearing up to return for promotions this summer.

Teen Top's Niel and BTS's Jungkook appeared as the solo artists to make the top ten list.

The full 'Music' list includes:

2. VIXX
3. EXO
4. GOT7
5. Teen Top
