James Bond won't possibly be singing tunes on Broadway anytime soon as it surfaced that the planned musical may be in trouble.

According to a post on the official Facebook page of the franchise, the James Bond musical has yet to get the permission for its production.

"Danjaq LLC and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. confirm they have not licensed any rights to Merry Saltzman or her production company to create a James Bond musical," the James Bond 007 post on Facebook read.

"Danjaq and MGM jointly control all live stage rights in the Bond franchise, and therefore no James Bond stage show may be produced without their permission," it added.

Reports that a 007 musical would be happening soon first came out in Playbill's interview with Merry Saltzman. According to the report last June 30, the daughter of legendary Bond film producer Harry Saltzman's company, Placeholder Productions, got the permission to do the musical.

This was contrary now though to the July 7 post of the James Bond Facebook page that can also be seen on the 007 website.

"Production schedules and trial runs are still being worked out in anticipation of a late 2017-early 2018 opening," Saltzman told Playbill then about the James Bond Broadway production.

The interview revealed as well that a new Bond girl will be introduced to take part in the stage production that will reportedly feature old and new Bond villains.

Time mentioned on their report citing Playbill that the musical may come out on Broadway or Las Vegas. The story will be written by Dave Clarke while the music will be done by country composer Jay Henry Weisz. The Time report also shot down rumors that Daniel Craig and Adelle would be involved in the production.

With the James Bond Broadway plans seemingly in limbo, fans of Agent 007 can anticipate, meanwhile, on the release of the 24th James Bond film "Spectre" on Nov. 26.
