T-ara Expand Promotions Into China As They Continue Their 2015 Trend Of Focusing On Fans Outside Korea

K-pop girl group T-ara might not be the most popular act in South Korea right now, but they're not going to let that slow them down.

Focusing on their Chinese concert tour for the first half of 2015, T-ara reportedly do not have any imminent plans to make a comeback in Korea. They began their tour of China on June 20 in Nanjing at the Sun Palace Theater.

According to the group's label MBK Entertainment, T-ara became the first Korean girl group to hit over 1 million members on China's Baidu fan cafe earlier this week. Baidu is a Chinese web services company.

On Wednesday, a chart that revealed the China fan cafe rankings for Korean girl groups on the Korean online community board Instiz.

The group was ranked at number one with 1,000,872 members as of Tuesday. Right behind was former Girls' Generation member Jessica Jung aloing with girl group Girls' Generation at number three.

Others on the list included f(x), 2NE1, IU, A Pink, Boa, Girls' Day and miss A. Fans showed support for T-ARA for their accomplishment on the ranking chart.

"Even just a few days ago, Jessica was at the number one spot," wrote Next Door Man's Secret Relationship, Wednesday on Instiz. "T-ara really must be popular in China!"

Others revealed their pride in being a T-ara fan.

“I’m so proud of my girls!” wrote Minyoun.
