Super Junior, Girls' Generation And 2NE1 Nominated For International Teen Choice Awards

K-Pop fans better get voting as Super Junior, Girls' Generation, and 2NE1 have all been nominated for the 2015 Teen Choice Awards hosted by American broadcast network FOX.

This year marks the first time the award show will have "Choice International Artist" as part of its lineup. "We heard you! For the first time ever, we're adding #ChoiceInternationalArtist to #TeenChoice!" program officials shared through Twitter on June 22.

The three Korean groups take up half the nominations and face off against Australian pop punk band 5 Seconds of Summer, and British pop acts One Direction and Little Mix.

Although this is the first time that an International Artist category has been officially added, K-Pop fans have seen other idol favorites nominated before. In 2013, Psy was nominated for "Choice Breakout Artist" following the global success of "Gangnam Style." Unfortunately, though, Psy lost to English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran that year.

The Teen Choice Awards is an annual awards show aired on FOX that aims to celebrate the year's achievements in movies, television, sports, fashion, and music among other categories. The award show is directed towards teenagers with the voting age ranging from 13 to 19 years old.

Voting takes place on the Teen Choice official website and will remain open until July 24. Afterwards, fans can tune into this year's Teen Choice Awards live on Sunday Aug 16.
