Song Seung Heon Meets Fans in Singapore for 'Dr. Jin', ‘I Would Come More Often’

South Korean actor, Song Seung Heon visited Singapore on February 28th to promote his drama 'Dr. Jin' which will be broadcasted on Singapore local television channel, Channel U.

On March 2nd, he had a Meet & Greet Autograph session at West Coast Plaza.

Song Seung Heon's ardent fans queued early that morning in hope to be the first 100 fans to meet Song Seung Heon up close and receive a 'Dr. Jin' poster to be autographed by the star himself.

Apart from his Singapore fans, fans from Taiwan and China also flew in to attend the event too, due to it being one of his more rare solo appearances in a meet-and-greet. About an hour to the event, all three levels of the shopping mall were already filled with Seung Heon's fans.

Dressed in a black tee and white jacket, Seung Heon appeared on stage at around 4:30pm where he greeted and introduced himself in English to his fans in Singapore.  It is always admirable when a top star like Seung Heon attempts to draw closer to the fans by speaking in a more universal language.

He shared that this was his second trip to Singapore. His first trip was for MAMA 2011. Seeing a great turnout for the Meet & Greet session, he said if he had known he has so many fans in Singapore, he would have come more often, and will do so now that he knows.

Seung Heon also talked about 'Dr. Jin' where he acted as a doctor who was transported back in time to 150 years ago. There are many 'realistic-looking' surgery scenes in drama and he hopes the viewers will like it. Shortly after the introduction, he started signing autographs on 'Dr. Jin' posters for the first 100 lucky fans. During the autograph session, he thanked and shook every fan's hand for their attendance and support. He also constantly waved and acknowledged the fans who shouted for him during the autograph session, showing his more charismatic and friendly side.

After the autograph session, his Singapore fanclub members went up the stage to present flowers and gifts to him. The event lasted about half hour.

Before he left, he thanked all the fans for turning up to welcome him. Again he expressed his regrets for not coming to Singapore often. He promised his fans that he will come to Singapore more often in the future and will bring back all these beautiful memories in Singapore back to Korea.

Although it was a short Meet & Greet session, his friendliness and charms definitely left beautiful memories in many of his fans too.

The highly anticipated drama 'Dr. Jin' will be broadcasted on Channel U every Monday to Friday 10pm, starting from April 1st, 2013.
