New ‘iPhone 5s’ Release Date Late 2013; Rumors Of Color iPhone 5 Available Summer 2013, ‘iPhone Mini’ Release Date In 2014

Rumors from previously accurate analysts suggest that a new iPhone 5, the iPhone 5s, will have its release date at the end of 2013. The much-heralded release will come about a year after the introduction of the iPhone 5, whose release date was September 12, 2012.

According to AppleInsider, the new iPhone could have a release date as early as August 2013. Reportedly, Foxconn will exclusively produce the new iPhone 5s.

Barclay's analyst Kirk Yang predicted that the new iPhone 5 release date would be in September of 2013. He also predicted that Apple would introduce a cheaper iPhone zeroing in on emerging markets.

Many expect the cheaper iPhone 5s to be a world phone that will allow Apple to produce one unit for multiple carriers. This development could eliminate some carrier-specific unit shortages in the U.S., since AT&T, Sprint and Verizon users could purchase the same model.

AppleInsider suggested that China Mobile, the largest cell service provider in China would be able to carry the iPhone 5s. Analysts believe Apple's growth will be limited in the future until it can sign a deal with the service provider giant that has nearly 700 million customers.

Regardless of its inability to break into China Mobile, Apple has increased the sales of the iPhone during every fiscal quarter for the past 4 years.

New rumors have also surfaced about the "iPhone Mini" release date, rumored to be a cheaper version of the Apple phone to entice buyers in emerging markets like China.

Japanese Apple Blog Macotakara claims that Apple is pushing back mini iPhone release to 2014; and it will actually contain a 4.5-inch screen, .5 inches larger than the current iPhone 5 display.

Another rumor claims that this summer, Apple will release its first iPhones in color. This well-known rumor suggests that the iPhones will appear in various colors, much like what Nokia offers for the Lumia 920.
