Girls' Generation have just won their first music show award for their new song "Party" which prompted a thank-you message from the members.

Tiffany uploaded a video on Instagram which showed herself, Yoona and Taeyeon appearing on and smiling for their fans.

"12m+ views in a week! Thanks #PARTY1stwin," wrote Tiffany along with the video.

"Party" is the pre-release track for the girl group's new album and it won its first music award on SBS MTV's The Show, beating a tough field of four rival girl groups, namely AOA, Girl's Day, 9MUSES and MAMAMOO.

During their privilege speech after winning on The Show, Sooyoung spoke for the group and thanked their loyal fans for giving them their first music show award for their most recent comeback promotions.

"We are so so happy, and it's such an honor to get our first win with 'Party.' We think we were able to get the win because of our fans who are celebrating with us. Thank you so much," Sooyoung reportedly said.

Sooyoung also uploaded a group photo which showed seven of the girls (minus Sunny who reportedly had to rush out to fulfill her radio hosting duties) posing cutely with their first win trophy.
