Elton John is on tour in Brazil at the moment and has made some outlandish requests including a hotel room specifically for his glasses.

The famed British pop-rocker, Elton John, is currently on a 4-show mini tour of Brazil where reports have been made about some rather strange requests from the singer. Most notably: a hotel room specifically for his collection of glasses.

John reportedly asked concert organizers in Belo Horizonte, a city in the southeastern part of the country, to reserve an extra room for his eyewear, according to a report by Brazil's Pampulha newspaper.

The other very specific requests made by the 65-year-old musician seem a little more reasonable by comparison.

Elton John (who was born Reginald Dwight) insisted the temperature of his hotel suite remain at a constant 16 degrees Celsius (about 61 F), the newspaper reported.

He is also said to have demanded fresh flowers be present in the dressing room. His request included a very specific arrangement: seven square vases - five containing 16 red roses and the other two holding 16 white roses. It is believed the eccentric singer also asked for four palm trees in two-meter high vases.

Aluizer Malab, the man in charge of planning John's show at the city's Mineirao football stadium, said however peculiar the singer's requests may be, it is no trouble for the tour organizers.

He said: "In general, he isn't that eccentric. They are reasonable requests. He is a very disciplined artist."

A spokesman for John denied the rumors saying they were not true at all.

However, the singer-songwriter is well known for his eccentricities, especially while on the road.

He is usually said to be very specific about floral displays in his rooms while touring. The arrangements should never contain chrysanthemums, daisies, carnations, or lilies.

It has also previously been reported that he often asks for a dressing room big enough to hold ten people comfortably with a lot of seating including a 6-foot sofa, love seat, armchair, and an array of easy chairs.

Elton John is scheduled to perform in Belo Horizonte on March 9.
