Singer Baek Ji Young to Make her Japan Debut this May, 'Luxurious Voice'

Singer Baek Ji Young will finally be setting foot into the Japan music industry.

Baek Ji Young will officially be making her Japan debut on May 1 with her OST song for the famous drama, "Secret Garden." 

This drama is currently being played on Japan TV through NHK and is gaining much attention.

With the news of her debut, many Japan media reported the news. 

Today, Japan media commented, "Korea's top solo female singer Baek Ji Young will officially be making her debut in Japan with her OST from the drama, 'Secret Garden'."

They continued, "Baek Ji Young has been in the music industry for 14 years and is known as the 'Queen of Ballad'. Her recent album released this past January also gained much attention and ranked number 1. She has a huge fan base as she has been in the industry for many years."

They also continued by saying that her emotional and deep voice has melted the hearts of many fans. Her voice is one of a kind and is sure to receive much support in Japan as well.

On the day of her debut, they will also be holding a premium live show with around 400 people in Tokyo.

Baek  Ji Young debuted in 1999 and eventually became one of the most popular sole female artists.

She is also known to be 'queen of OST' as she sang many OSTs for popular songs such as "Secret Garden" and "Iris."

Due to her emotional and heart wrenching vocals, many people have requested to work with her for OSTs for dramas and other productions. Her most recent OST feature was for MBC "Arang and the Magistrate" in 2012.

She also recently released a new album this past January titled, "I Hate It." For this song, she worked with pianist Yiruma for a wonderful mixture of vocals and the piano.
