Big Bang's T.O.P Reaches 2 Million Instagram Followers Despite Straightforward Responses To Fans

While the world of K-pop is dominated by fans dying to interact with their favorite stars, it is not uncommon to fear meeting your favorite artists.

That is to say, sometimes meeting your idols can bring great disappointment.

It would seem that T.O.P is immune to this phenomenon however, as the Big Bang member has managed to snag over 2 million Instagram followers. In fact, he's managed to do this despite his tendency to be somewhat brusque with his fans when responding.

One of the first instances where T.O.P managed to make headlines was in a response to a fan that made a joke about his use of hashtags on Instagram, telling him that he didn't know how to use the social media account properly.

"Why do I have to add a hashtag? I don't like things like that. It's my choice. This is my Insta[gram]," said T.O.P

The Big Bang rapper also has warned fans against arguing among themselves in his comment section.

"You guys don't fight on my Instagram," he added, with a smiley emoticon.

The most recent display of T.O.P's candidness on Instagram is when he reposted a nasty comment from an anti-fan with a caption of a smiley face. Ultimately, the Instagram user issued an apology after being flooded with negative comments from T.O.P's fans.

Admittedly, it is somewhat shocking to realize that T.O.P has only had an Instagram for a few months and has not only uploaded over 200 photos, but has also accumulated so many followers. But given the immense global popularity of Big Bang, plus T.O.P's previous inactivity on social media, it makes sense that fans would flock to him with the chance of a response.

T.O.P is currently promoting Big Bang's 2015 comeback album series entitled "Made." The group was recently topped the charts with their "D" series singles, "If You" and "Sober." The final part of the "Made" album series is scheduled for release on Aug. 1.

It may be wise to never meet your idols to avoid disappointment, but so far, it looks like T.O.P is just as cool as his personality seems on TV and in his music.
