Actor So Ji Sub Announces Plans To Release Hip-Hop Album

Top actor So Ji Sub will be releasing a hip-hop album, which includes a collaboration with South Korean hip-hop trio Soul Dive, reports The Korea Herald.

So Ji Sub's new album will be released on music sites on Wednesday, July 22. He also reportedly shot a music video for one of the songs in the album.

This is not the first time that the prolific actor - who has starred in hit Korean dramas such as I'm Sorry, I Love You and Master's Sun - has released a hip-hop album. Last June, So Ji Sub dropped his mini album 18 Years which displayed his rapping skills.

But with the announcement of his second stab at a hip-hop album, some online commenters were quite dismissive of his musical efforts.

"Fine, do it. Just do it. Already released one once, why not twice," "Why does he keep coming back as a rapper. I want to see him in some dramas," said his critics, according to comments compiled by Netizenbuzz.

But his supporters cheered him on for pursuing his passion for music.

"Someone challenging themselves to do something they want to do should be celebrated but people are reacting negatively," said one fan. "Regardless of his results, I think it's amazing that he's even trying it.

Are you looking forward to So Ji Sub's new hip-hop album?
