Michael Schumacher's Condition Gets Attention With Bianchi's Death; Jule's Dad Speaks Up

Jules Bianchi died at a young age of 25 after months in coma and Michael Schumacher's condition was unwittingly brought to light when the F1 racer's dad talked to the press.

In an interview with Daily Mirror, Philippe Bianchi said the last few months have been unimaginable for the family as his son, Jules, lay unresponsive on the bed.

He said, "There are moments watching Jules lying in his bed, without a scratch or anything, I have to give him a peck on the cheek and say, 'Come on get up, what are you doing lying there? Let's get away from Japan, Jules. We go home.'"

"It's unbearable, it is a daily torture. I sometimes think I'm going to go crazy because for me it is certainly worse than if it had ended with the accident because we don't have the power to help more than we do," he said.

Philippe Bianchi also revealed that he had a talk with his son regarding Michael Schumacher's condition prior to his coma.

"If he had severe disabilities we are convinced this is not at all what Jules wanted," he said. "We had talked about it.

Philippe Bianchi continued, "He told us that if he had an accident and was left like Michael Schumacher the additional handicap of not being able to race would have been difficult to keep on living with. It was his life."

Over a week ago, Michael Schumacher's wife Corrina took legal action for the tabloids to stop speculation about his condition.

According to the report from The Telegraph, the tabloids were identified as Bunte, Freizeit Revue and Freizeit Spaß.

Corrina also scored a major victory when the local court imposed a ban on any unofficial report on Michael Schumacher's coma condition.

"The court's chamber dealing with press law considered the contested forms of coverage as being inadmissible in essential respects and banned them," the article said. "Ruling against the magazines, the court found that the coverage had  'removed his privacy and was the subject of speculative hope and voyeuristic observation,' the Süddeutsche Zeitung reported."
