'Monster Rookie' Lee Hi Receives Praise from MTV, 'Rising Star'

Singer Lee Hi's new album has already been receiving much praise and attention after just one day of its release.

This proved to show her 'monster rookie' status as international media has already been praising her new album.

World famous music channel MTV's K-Pop channel, MTV-K, revealed an article with the title, 'Rising Star Lee Hi Returns with 'It's Over'.' 

MTV-K stated, "YG's rookie, Lee Hi, has made a comeback with her first solo album, First Love. Her title song, 'It's Over', reveals her cute and lovely image."

They continued, "Her soulful voice sings to her boyfriend 'bear' in the music video to reveal that they are now over. They also created bears that looked like Big Bang members G-Dragon and Taeyang as well, which gained much attention."

They added, "Lee Hi has a unique voice that mixes pop, R&B and soul all together. YG Entertainment worked hard on her album as top producers Teddy, CHOICE37 and others worked together to create the album."

Also, U.S. music video site, Complex, stated, "K-Pop Sensation Lee Hi is back with her new music video featuring a bear."

Her new album features a  jazz and rhythm and blues vibe. Her title song features a jazzy blues genre that is not seen much in K-Pop. Her sophisticated and soulful voice can be heard throughout all the tracks in her album.

This music video is also gaining much attention overseas for its cute and lovely image. Lee Hi wears 14 different outfits in the video and uses different toys and candies to make a more cute and sweet concept.

On the other hand, her other title song, "Rose" and the remaining 5 songs will be released on March 21.
