The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 release date has just been announced.

Android users were already informed of a new Samsung flagship device due to leak reports on the Internet. While it was able to hype up the excitement, the official announcement of the new tab has sparked the interest of android enthusiasts.

On Samsung Mobile Press, CEO of IT & Mobile Division at Samsung Electronics JK Shin said, "The Galazy S2 is not only our thinnest and lightest tabled of its size ever, it also gives users a quick and easy access to a wealth of superior viewing and productivity features. We believe the Samsung Galazy Tab S2 is the most complete personal visual device designed for consumers to carry and use anywhere."

The design has adopted the Apple iPad's 4:3 ratio. According to Extereme Tech, "By recreating the same viewing experience of browsing through traditional print media, the Galaxy Tab S2 also makes it comfortable to read digital content, including e-books, magazines, webpages and newsfeeds. This reading-optimized ratio allows the user to enjoy a seamless reading experience without unnecessary scrolling."

There is a larger version to the Tab S2 available and measures 9.3 x 6.7 x 0.22 inches and weighs 13.7 ounces. It is definitedly much lighter than the iPad's 15.4 ounces and proves Tab S2's featherweight.

Apart from a Super AMOLED display, it also comes with an advanced security sensor, offers multitasking, improved storage and Microsoft Office Solutions. According to Samsung Mobile Press, on the release date of the Samsung Galaxy S2, "...will come in a variety of connectivity, storage and size options: 9.7-inch and 8.0-inch versions with Wi-Fi, or Wi-Fi and LTE, available in 32 or 64GB with MicroSD up to 128GB." 

The Samsung Galaxy S2 release date is scheduled in August 2015.
