The LG G5 Release Date, Specs & Price have officially been announced.

After the success of the LG G4 smartphone that was released in April, the company is already gearing up for the release of the next flagship device of the series.

According to Venture Capital Post, the LG G5 release date, speculations, and possible price are already set. Rumors say that the new smartphone will carry an Ultra HD 4K display with True HD UPS and will also come with a 6-inch screen. The G5 may possibly have a Corning Lotus, Willog Glass, or Sapphire Glass in order to protect the screen.

One of the best features of the LG G4 was the quality of the pictures that the phone was able to take. Rumors say that the LG G5 may be equipped with a 25 or 30 rear camera.

PC Advisor reported that the LG G5 may possibly getting an iris scanner. GSM Arena spotted in Korean publications that LG is working with another company called Irience to bring an iris scanner to its next flagship phone. Supposedly the iris scanner may be made to work at a distance of an arm's length.

Further stated in the article: "A demo earlier this year by Irience used a smartphone's front camera to scan a user's retina and match the image against data already stored. It was impressive enough to persuade the Industrial Bank of Korea to sign a deal with Irience to develop the technology further."

Other rumors say the battery will reportedly have a bigger battery. This means that the phone will definitely be much heavier as compared to the LG G4 smartphone.

There is no official announcement from LG about the LG G5 release date, specs and price, but there is a possibility that it will be launched in Spring 2016.
