Bethesda Reveals New 'Fallout' Anthology Collection

Just in time for the November launch of Fallout 4, which is set for release on November 10, Bethesda Softworks plans on re-releasing every Fallout title as part of an anthology set.

According to USA Today, Bethesda's Fallout Anthology will feature the original Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics. It will also boast Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition and Fallout New Vegas: Ultimate Edition, complete with all their expansions.

Bethesda revealed the anthology to kick off Quakecon in Dallas. It also includes a collectible mini-nuke that generates a bomb sound.

Tech Times reported that Fallout was not all that popular for some time. Following the second game in the series, the franchise went into hibernation for a long while.

As a result, many players' first Fallout game was actually Fallout 3 - not realizing that the series used to be something completely different. According to Tech Times, it only makes sense that Bethesda would want to introduce people to Fallout's long lineage: after all, the franchise is built on a lot more than Fallout 3 and New Vegas.

"Fallout Anthology features five critically acclaimed games and official add-ons in a premium collectible set - neatly packaged inside a Fat Man mini-nuke," reads a press release on Bethesda's blog.

"And because there's a new edition coming to the Fallout family this November, the collection takes a page from Vault-Tec and reserves a space for your Fallout 4 game disc."

At last month's Electronic Entertainment Expo, Bethesda revealed the first details for Fallout 4. The role-playing epic is set in Boston in the aftermath of a nuclear war that forced citizens into underground vaults. The player's character wakes up 200 years after the event to explore the wasteland and figure out what happened.

The package is available for PC only and will cost $49.99, according to USA Today. Bethesda's Fallout Anthology will be released on September 29 in North America and October 2 in Europe.
