‘The Vampire Diaries’ Star Paul Wesley Thinks Stefan Should Be Bad; Phoebe Tonkin Has A Message For Beau

One reason to anticipate the return of "The Vampire Diaries" is the romance between Stefan Salvatore and Caroline Forbes. However, it appears that the younger Salvatore is having a difficult time winning the heart of the blonde beauty. For series star Paul Wesley, his character should do something about it.

"Stefan's put his love out there for her. He told her he was in love with her, and he's waiting to see how she reacts. Right now, she's sort of giving him the cold shoulder. But hopefully, that will change. As most women do, with men," he started saying at the recently concluded San Diego Comic Con.

"He's a little bit of a hero, and he likes to play the good guy," he added. "Maybe he needs to get a little 'bad boy' sexy with her."

It took "The Vampire Diaries" star Paul Wesley one whole season to finally admit his feelings for Caroline. For the actor, his character trying to fix everything is a problem especially when it somehow contributed to the return of his mom to Mystic Falls.

"I would love to see that have translate onto the screen. But somehow [Stefan] tries to fix everything, all the time. Seven years deep, you think he would finally learn his lesson and take off and be a vampire. But no. He's a hero," he told the panel.

Meanwhile, "The Vampire Diaries" star Paul Wesley recently celebrated his 33rd birthday.

His girlfriend Phoebe Tonkin posted an Instagram photo of them and captioned it, "Happy birthday to my best friend. Not only are you the sexist person I have ever seen, but you make me laugh more than anyone else. Here's to many more adventures with you."

Phoebe Tonkin and Paul Wesley met on the set of "The Vampire Diaries" when the actress played the role of a werewolf. She later moved on to "The Originals." Despite parting ways on-screen, the lovers remain strong.
