'Attack on Titan' Season 2 Release Date News: Attack on Titan Season 2 production began last year. Fans have until next year to wait for 'Attack on Titan Season 2 to hit the tubes. In the meantime, "Attack on Titan" series director Tetsuro Araki  created two live-action movies covering the 'Attack on Titan' Season 1.

It was recently reported that 'Attack on Titan' Season 2 scenes will appear in the live-action movies. 'Attack on Titan Part 1' will premier in the U.S. this October.

Araki spoke during the press conference for the live-action film "Attack on Titan Part 1: Crimson Bow and Arrow." The director said the "Attack on Titan" season 2 is delayed because  Hajime Isayama's manga hasn't gotten into a two-story arc.

"Attack on Titan" season 2 covered the manga's first 34 chapters.

So what else do we know? All the major voice actors are confirmed to return, including Yui Ishikawa (Mikasa), Yuuki Kaji (Eren), and Marina Inoue (Armin).  The manga is two story arcs ahead of "Attack on Titan" season one. The "Attack on Titan" season 2 plot will tell the story of the 104th Trainees Squad fight against the Titans that penetrated the wall. Two live-action movies are set to be released for "Attack on Titan" this year.

New characters in Attack on Titan Season 2 include Captain Kenny Ackerman, Uri Reiss, Rod Reiss, Frieda Reiss, and the Beast Titan.

The first live action film, "Attack on Titan" got a worldwide premiere in Los Angeles last week when it was screened at the Egyptian Theatre. The film is due to premier in Japan next month and the second film in the franchise, "Attack on Titan: End of the World," is expected to arrive sometime in September.

"Attack on Titan" season 2 won't arrive until next year but new compilation movies coming out in Japan will include remastered footage from Attack on Titan season 1.

Accordfing to iDigital Times, the first Attack on Titan movie will include the first 13 episodes and the second will finish the season.  Anime News Network reported that the second compilation movie will include new never-before-seen footage that will link to "Attack on Titan" season two.
