Charlize Theron is set on having more children without a man to share it with. The "Mad Max" actress has gotten herself a new baby girl after splitting with Sean Penn, making her first adopted child, Jackson, a big brother.

As first reported by TMZ, Theron finally got her second child after working with an adoption agency for six months. The African-American baby, aptly named August, was born just last month in the US.

According to a report on Us Weekly, plans of adopting more children has been underway for Charlize Theron even before she split with Sean Penn.

"There is still talk of adopting again and giving Jackson a brother or a sister," a close pal of Penn said last year.

Theron has always wanted more children as earlier reported by Extra.

"I mean, I'm so open to anything in my life," the "Mad Max" actress shared back in May. "I was never like, 'Oh god just one,' I was always kind of open to whatever kind of happens."

In an interview with Marie Claire also back in May, the actress even shared that motherhood has changed her priorities in life.

"There's a lot more to life than just making movies," Theron opened up to the magazine. "People forget that. There's family and there's relationships and my job has never been my number one priority.

"There were periods when I just wanted to be with my family; I wanted to travel; I wanted to do other things," she added. "I wanted to have children. Those things are way more important."

The Oscar-winning actress adopted her first child, Jackson, in 2012. It took her two years before she was able to adopt a baby and get him home from South Africa.

"My mom said the most beautiful thing," she told Ellen DeGeneres back then as quoted by E! Online. "She said...'It took me nine months to fall in love with you while you were growing in my stomach.' She's like, 'It took you two years to fall in love with this little baby. It really took two years of just waiting and then one day it's finally there."

Aside from being focused on her children, Charlize Theron was also recently busy reshooting scenes for "The Last Face" with ex-Sean Penn.
