YG Entertainment Boy Bands WINNER And iKON Reunite On Naver V Broadcast

YG Entertainment groups WINNER and iKON reunited for the first time in two years through the new K-pop streaming platform application Naver "V".

On August 1, the two boy groups spent their episode head-to-head against each other, playing games in order to win a free vacation. In addition to the games, WINNER and iKON took part in dance and rap competitions as well as communicated with their fans through the app. Since the "V" broadcast operates without scripts or editing, fans were given the chance to see the WINNER and iKON members show off more of their true selves during the one hour show.

The members of WINNER and iKON have not shared a TV broadcast since their competition against each other during YG Entertainment's competition program WHO IS NEXT: WIN. WINNER's Kang Seung Yoon mirrored the fans excitement at the broadcast. "We were happy to be able to approach fans as completed groups and brothers, instead of as Team A and Team B," WINNER's leader said according to TV Report.

With iKON as the winners of the game, Kang Seung Yoon wished them well on their vacation. He further teased fans by promising that WINNER will work hard in the studio preparing their album instead of vacationing as well.

"V" features not only pre-recorded shows but allows idols using the app to hop on and communicate virtually with their fans whenever the please. Girl's Day Sojin and soloist Eric Nam have already broadcasted spontaneously through the application earlier this week, according to Korea Herald. In addition to WINNER and iKON, fans of Wonder Girls, Miss A, GOT7, KARA, Big Bang, VIXX, and more can look forward to seeing their favorite idols appear on the app.
