BEAST’s Son Dongwoon Shows Tears During 1st Solo Concert In Japan

K-pop boy band BEAST member Son Dongwoon held his first solo live Japanese concert complete with tears of happiness.

This concert was to end his promotions for his first solo album as an artist and not part of a group. This album also hit the number three spot on the Japanese Oricon weekly chart as well.

Son wanted to thank his fans for all their support and decided to hold this special concert.

Although, BEAST is currently promoting their new song, “YeY” and is busy with their schedule, he made time to prepare this special event for his fans.

Son opened his concert with his first album title track, “Kimishika” along with other songs from the album.

He also revealed his piano skills through the song, “In The Cloud” and had fans swooning along to the melody.

At the end of the fan meeting, a surprise present was revealed to him by fellow BEAST members and Son’s father. A video message was played, which made Son tear up.

“We are so proud of our youngest member and we want to congratulate him on his solo career,” said group BEAST in the surprise video.

“Our family is on your side and we will always support you,” revealed Son’s dad as well.

His first Japanese solo album was released last month and did not only rank third on the Oricon chart but also ranked second on the Tower Records Sales Chart, making his debut quite the success.

This album also reveals the growth of Son Dongwoon's emotional and deep vocals as well as a solo artist overall.

BEAST has made a comeback yesterday and will be making their comeback performance on Wednesday through MBC Music “Show Champion.”
