Instagram comments can be mean. "Pretty Little Liars" actress Sasha Pieterse posted a photo of her and her girlfriends by the pool in their bikinis. While some fans responded with loving messages to Sasha Pieterse, calling her "beautiful," others started the rumor that her recent weight gain was caused by a secret pregnancy.

While there is no proof that Sasha Pieterse is pregnant, "Pretty Little Liars" fans took to the actress' Instagram to leave comments speculating that the actress' weight gain was due to pregnancy.

Instagram user angelapasaI wrote: "I really think she is gorgeous... and I do not think she is fat at all... I am fat haha... how about all those hormones story actually be a bun in the oven?????"

loveseesnocolor_ Instagram user wrote: "Anyone else think Allison is pregnant ?" referring to Sasha's "PLL" character.

eesah_coolI wrote, "think she's pregnant :o"

But others were quick to shut these rumors down, filling the comments section of Sasha Pieterse's bikini photo with compliments like:

the.wildest.dreams said, "GORGEOUS AF"

fleurdetrie commented, "Sasha you look so amazing!"

fleurdetrie wrote, "You are my rolemodel"

lottiebaker._ wrote, "@loveseesnocolor_ she's not pregnant. You don't have the right to say things like that. We all love and support Sasha for who she is here. So, if your going to be nasty..please leave."

As we previously reported, Sasha posted an Instagram photo last month that read: "I am currently under construction... thank you for your patience."

In the caption to the Instagram photo, the "Pretty Little Liars" star explained her recent weight gain, and attributed the couple of extra pounds to a hormonal imbalance. Sasha Pieterse also assured fans that she would soon get back into shape. A few weeks later she posted photos of running shoes and herself working out at the gym.

"To my incredible and loving fans, Words cannot express how amazed I am by you!" she wrote in the caption to her Instagram photo. "I'm so thankful for the affection you have for me, Alison, and Pretty Little Liars! We/I wouldn't be able to make it happen without you! I get to do what I love every single day because of you guys! As a lot of you have noticed my body has gone through some changes, and I want to clear the air and give you an explanation."

"I have been facing a bad hormone imbalance that has thrown my body completely out of whack. I want to assure you that I'm healthy and getting everything back on track! A big thanks to all of you who have been in my corner! We live in such a judge mental society that puts every kind of flaw, including weight gain, in the same category. And for those of you who are struggling with any health problem, hormone imbalance, and weight gain of any sort I urge and encourage you to please deal with it in a healthy manor."

"YOU and YOUR health are what matters, not anyone else's opinions and assumptions of you. Getting healthy isn't just about working out and eating right (however extremely important) it's also about surrounding yourself with those who care about you and want to see you succeed and become the best you can be."
