Recent Reality TV Show Causes Big Bang's G-Dragon Stress Over His Lyrics

Although G-Dragon may seem like he has it all in terms of success, it seems that even his confidence wavers at times when it comes to his work.

On August 4, Big Bang aired their last BIGBANG COUNTDOWN LIVE broadcast to bring in their MADE Series 'E' releases via Naver's new "V" mobile application. During the broadcast, the group talked about their new songs "Let's Not Fall in Love" and "Zutter."

While talking about "Zutter's" hip-hop style, G-Dragon revealed that he spends a lot more time thinking about his lyrics now than he had before. "I've been writing rap lyrics for a while but nowadays I've been paying more attention and going over them more often. Because of a certain show, rap lyrics have become a controversial topic," G-Dragon said according to TV Report.

"It's because of 'Show Me the Money,'" Seungri clarified, "I've been seeing Ji Yong (G-Dragon) thinking about his lyrics a lot even though he used to not worry about them."

Mnet's Show Me the Money 4 has seen its fair share of controversies since the first episodes aired on June 26. From misogynistic comments referencing women's health, to a rap performance so questionable it stopped filming for a few hours, Show Me the Money 4 has kept people on their toes wondering what the next controversy might be.

Still, even if G-Dragon worries more of his lyrics, his songs are still receiving lots of love from music listeners all over the world. Since its release on August 5 and midnight KST, "Zutter" has reached over 6 million views on YouTube. "Let's Not Fall in Love," the full group release from MADE Series 'E', has also swiftly surpassed 8 million views.
