Wardrobe Inspection: K-Pop's Best Dressed August 2015

Another month has come and gone and several K-pop acts made debuts and comebacks with great concepts and music video fashion.

Big Bang continued with their monthly comeback streak, SHINee returned with a hauntingly unique track, and the highly anticipated Wonder Girls comeback brought us back in time by nearly three decades. Check out these end-of-summer trends!

"I Feel You" by Wonder Girls

After a three-year hiatus, the Wonder Girls have finally returned to the music industry as a four-member band. Their comeback track "I Feel You" takes listeners on a trip back to the 80's with not only the catchy tune, but the wardrobe as well.

The gorgeous quartet donned multicolored leotards for a large portion on the video, but there were also moments included where the ladies took on the full '80s casual style.

“Lion Heart” by Girls’ Generation

Returning with their fifth full-length album, Girls Generation has already dropped three music videos this heated summer. Among the three music videos was “Lion Heart,” also the title of their latest album.

Once again fans were swooned by their vintage pin-up beauty but what seemed to draw in the most attention was the comedic lion-headed character. Even the bold tiger made an appearance in the colorful music video.

"Married to the Music" by SHINee

It would seem SHINee can pull off any concept thrown their way. In the music video for "Married to the Music" SHINee took on a haunted-house concept that fans seemed to be oddly enthralled by.

SHINee threw a state-of-the-art Halloween party this August yet had suit fashion complete with unique bat-winged bowties. It was jerseys, graphic tees, and patch-work studded blazers galore. Overall, “Married to the Music” had our eyes bulging almost as much as Taemin’s did in the music video.

"My Number" by Cheetah

The season one 'Unpretty Rapstar' winner returns as fierce and striking as ever in her music video for "My Number."

Many fans are used to seeing the star in her sleek black hairstyle, but Cheetah went the platinum blonde route donning a rocker bob-cut wig. Cheetah even featured her jet black locks laced with an eye-grabbing bright green. The video also features strong make-up highlighted by various neon tones.

"Sweet Girl" by B1A4

This month, B1A4 returned with their groovy track “Sweet Girl” dazzling fans once again with their charming personas. From bright and playful to smooth and dashing, the boys of B1A4 had it all.

With an array of different settings, there were white ballroom style tuxedos, sleek black suits, blue and fuchsia hombre attire, and even a button down reminiscent of a Hawaiian tourist.

"Zutter" by GD&TOP (BIGBANG)

Taking on a more grunge style this time around, the project duo GD&TOP returned with the next track from their MADE series, “Zutter.”

While the two did show off their fair share of sweat suits in the music video, fans couldn’t tear their eyes off the various suits both G-Dragon and TOP pulled off so well. At this point, many should be used to all the strange trends Big Bang has come out with, but they continue to surprise audiences with their latest fashion. Despite that, the duo still nailed a number of classic suits including red, mini-checker, and even cheetah print.

"So Crazy" by T-ARA

T-ARA fans rejoiced at the news of the comeback for the catchy pop track, “So Crazy.”

In contrast to their previous dance-electro and retro tracks, T-ARA returned with a new marine sailor look of the blue, red, and white variety. Also in the mix was a cute cafeteria worker look, casual staff, and even a style that looked like racecar mechanics.

“Beautiful Liar” by VIXX LR

Debuting with their track “Beautiful Liar”, VIXX members Leo and Ravi teamed up for a powerful song and music video.

With a gothic and manic flare, both members we able to execute this style perfectly - especially after practice with group tracks like “Voodoo Doll” and “Hyde.” Leo left fans in trance with his deep gaze and all black attire while Ravi gave us a strong presence in deep-sea floral suit. Ravi later switched the vibrant pattern for a simple yet befitting black and white striped tee.

“Dark Panda” by Hyolyn, Zico, & Paloalto

Rap forces Zico and Paloalto teamed up with vocal powerhouse Hyolyn of Sistar for the smooth hip-hip and R&B track “Dark Panda.” While we’re used to seeing Zico and Paloalto clad in streetwear, Hyolyn took on the hip-hop style as well with and added emphasis with face piercings and thick tattoos.

Summer is officially winding down and we’ll be sure to see in transition in trend as well. But for now, who is your best dressed this month?
