Super Junior Top United World Chart With 10th Anniversary Special Album 'Devil'

The popular K-pop boy band Super Junior have taken over various global music charts with their 10th anniversary special album, “Devil."

On Monday, SM Entertainment revealed that the group's album had topped the United World Chart, which is run by the global album sales site Media Traffic. It showed that “Devil” had ranked first for the week of August 8.

Their album also topped China’s KKBOX Korean album Top 100 Weekly chart for three weeks in a row as well as other Chinese music video and weekly charts.

Super Junior made it into to the number one spot on iTunes in 10 countries and revealed their global popularity.

Super Junior’s 10th anniversary special album, “Devil,” includes not only music by the group but also their sub-unit groups including Super Junior-M (Chinese-Korean group), Super Junior-T (trot music), Super Junior-KRY (vocal group) as well as Super Junior-D&E (unit group of Donghae and Eunhyuk).

This album also topped the iTunes comprehensive chart in 10 countries including Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Macau, Indonesia, Vietnam, Finland, Slovenia and the Philippines.

They made their comeback on July 17 through “KBS “Music Bank.” They also performed “We Can” and “Devil” on MBC “Music Core” on July 18 and performed “Alright” on SBS “Inkigayo” on July 19.

Along with the comprehensive album chart, they also topped the iTunes Pop Album chart in 13 countries and the K-pop album chart in nine countries.

The “Devil” music video also received much attention online and hit over 2.7 million views just two days after its release on China’s Yin Yue Tai Chart.

“Devil” was produced by production team Stereotype and composer Kenzie and features a different genre and style from the group’s usual hit songs.
