Some fans of Austin Mahone and Becky G are keeping their fingers crossed that the ex-couple would find their way back to each other's arms.

As reported by Entertainment Tonight, Mahone directly addressed the issue that they have broken up but clarified that they remain good friends.

"We actually kinda broke up a few days ago, just 'cause we're so busy traveling and all that," he explained. "We thought it was just kinda best if we just chill for a second, but we're still super close. We're close friends."

With the split seemingly looking like it was a mutual decision, some fans are hoping they would still reunite soon. For now, some fans are reeling from the breakup by looking back at the pair's sweetest moments together.

In a post on Cambio, several pictures of the couple from their Instagram feeds were compiled. Among the pictures where their beach vacation and their trip to the zoo.

While it remains unclear if the duo would rekindle the romance, Austin Mahone though confirmed he will be back together soon with Becky G professionally.

"I think she'll definitely be featured on the album," Mahone stated to ET. "Like I said, we're still close and I've produced and written some songs that we've done."

The soon-to-be "Empire" star has also spoken up post-split and admitted that she has been feeling "stressful" according to Hollywood Life. Amid the breakup, she took to Twitter to give her fans a message.

"Guys I'm fine!" she tweeted. "I'm happy! I'm going on TOUR!! It's just stressful. But I promise I'm good :) love you guys."

Mahone was the first to confirm the breakup too following cryptic posts from the couple, including the nose ring they got together that permanently won't be worn again according to the "Empire" guest star.
