Zayn Malik apparently threw shade at Taylor Swift on Monday and Calvin Harris came to her rescue. The "Style" singer reportedly was "in awe" over the gesture.

"Taylor is incredibly touched that Calvin stuck his neck out there and defended her," a source told Hollywood Life. "He did it all on his own without Taylor saying anything."

"Taylor is just in awe that Calvin would do this," the source added. "It's made her fall even more in love with him. She's never had this kind of love and support in a relationship before. None of her previous boyfriends had her back like this."

Swift purportedly has no direct reaction yet to the Malik's posts but the singer chose to favorite the tweets of her friends and fans that came to her defense including those from The Vamps and James McVey.

In a report on BBC, it was mentioned that after Malik retweeted a post from Twitter user @FemaleText comparing Swift leaving Spotify and Miley Cyrus not having a care if her albums get sold, Harris immediately came to defend his girlfriend from the attack.

"@FemaleTexts @zaynmalik You've made your money?," Harris tweeted. "Cool... f**k the 99% of musicians who depend on these services to survive right? Yeah f**k em."

Malik retorted immediately telling Harris "Oh and I write my own shit too d******d."

After several back and forth ramblings, Harris seemed to have calmed down and wrote "all good, it was the quote not you personally mate."

Calvin Harris even complimented Zayn Malik at the end of the Twitter war that reportedly was about Taylor Swift.

"Best of luck, genuinely," he posted. "You've got a great voice."

Some Directioners, meanwhile, were pissed when they found out that Louis Tomlinson, chose to favorite Harris' tweet during the Twitter war instead of siding with former bandmate, Malik, as reported by Mail Online.

The Taylor Swift purported Twitter attack from Zayn Malik where Calvin Harris came to the rescue happened just days after Swift performed with Little Mix that includes Malik's ex-girlfriend Perrie Edwards.
