Blake Lively Talks About Makeup; Explains How She Pulled Of ‘Age Of Adaline’ Look

Blake Lively news reported how the actress talked about makeup during a recent interview. According to a report from Refinery29, the TV and movie star explained how she pulled off the different looks that were required of her for the film "Age of Adaline."

Blake Lively made news earlier this year for her movie "Age of Adaline," where she played the role of a woman who experienced an almost-fatal car accident. The incident caused her to stop aging, thus requiring Ryan Reynolds' wife to don different looks from decades ago until present time.

One part of the movie showed Blake Lively as a bride in the 1930s. She explained how they had to work hard to make the look authentic.

"There were only four foundations in the '30s," Blake Lively told the news site. "Only four colors and only a couple of lipstick colors."

"Our hair and makeup artists found these original ones and tried to match it," she added.

Blake Lively detailed how she and the people behind "Age of Adaline" researched well enough to make her character believable.

"There's a reason, when you look at pictures of women from the '20s, their faces look almost flat or deadened by makeup, [whereas] now it's alive and dewy and metallic," she explained. "It's because of what they were putting on their face, the lead or the different things that affected the way they looked."

According to a previous report from Yahoo, Blake Lively initially wanted to take a break from filming TV and movies when her series "Gossip Girl" ended in 2012. However, the actress admitted that she "fell in love" with the script of "Age of Adaline" and decided to go back to acting.

"I wanted to take a bigger break," she shared. "It had only been like seven months at that point, [but] I thought, 'I cannot not be in this movie.'"

The wife of Ryan Reynolds are among the stars that many females admire when it comes to makeup and her overall look. Just recently, the mother-of-one even started a new hair color trend after debuting her "bronde" hair color on Instagram.

"Brondes have more fun," Blake Lively wrote alongside the shot, reported by Hello magazine. The image, which was reportedly shot during one of her trips with the World Wildlife Fund, showed her donning a new hair color that mixed blonde and brown hair.

Blake Lively's bronde hair trend is reportedly in line with the "Go Bronde" campaign of one of her endorsements, L'Oreal Paris.
