A new prank call trend known as "Swatting" has claimed another celebrity victim. Paris Hilton was "swatted" Sunday evening when a prank caller dialed 911 claiming someone had broken into the heiress' home.

The prank trend is known as "Swatting" since SWAT teams will often descend on the home of the celebrity said to be in trouble.

The Kardashians, Ashton Kutcher, Justin Bieber, Chris Brown and Client Eastwood have all been targets of "Swatting."

When the police arrived at Hilton's home they discovered that no one had attempted to break in and it was just another "Swatting" prank. Hilton was not home when the police arrived. She was in Miami attending the Ultra Music Festival.

"Swatting" is not only reserved for the rich and famous. Last week a 12-year-old boy from Minnesota was arrested after "Swatting" his middle school. The boy called 911 and told police a man armed with an AK-47 was in the school shooting.

After investigating the police realized the call was a prank and arrested the unnamed 12-year-old.

In October of 2012 a different 12-year-old boy was charged with 2 felony counts after making a false bomb threat at a Wells Fargo bank in Los Angeles. The Epoch Times reports that same 12-year-old was responsible for the "swatting" calls made about Ashton Kutcher and Justine Bieber.
