The competition to be the dominant K-pop girl group continues day by day, and so do the debuts.

Three new girl groups join the fierce competition, attempting to make names for themselves in the K-pop world. DIA, April, and myB will all make their debuts in rapid succession.

April was the first of the three to debut on August 23, followed the next day by myB's first release on August 24. DIA will reportedly debut on September 14.

As the first of the three girl groups to debut, April released "Dream Candy" and a cute, fairytale-inspired concept. April is a six-member idol group produced by DSP Media, the company responsible for popular K-pop girl groups KARA and Rainbow.

According to a description on YouTube, April's name "is a combination of the highest grade 'A' and the word 'Pril' which stands for 'a girl you can't help but love.'"

"Dream Candy" was produced by Hwang Sung Jae's new producing team, ButterFly.

On August 24, myB debuted with the song " (Heart Attack) My Oh My," a funky, retro-inspired song. The group contains five members, all of whom sported blond hair for their debut concept, similarly to B.A.P's debut concept in 2012.

myB is produced by Maroo Entertainment and the little sister group to the male idol group Supernova, who are popular in Japan, and 1PS.

Rounding out the new debuts is DIA, whose name is the shortened version of "Diamond." DIA is the produced by MBK Entertainment, the agency behind T-ara and SPEED.

DIA is a six member girl group, who will debut with a bright urban concept. MBK Entertainment released the teaser video for "I Gotta Feeling" on August 24, revealing that the girl group will debut formally on September 14.

The news of the three girl group's debut comes hot on the heels of intense comeback competition from popular K-pop girl groups this summer. The months between June and August saw comebacks from Girls' Generation, SISTAR, A Pink, Girl's Day, and more.
