‘The Last Of Us’ Movie Cast Still In Question, Maisie Williams Confident About Ellie Role

Another game that is expected to be turned into a movie is Naughty Dog's "The Last Of Us" and fans of the series are all excited to see what the film could offer.

Meanwhile, one thing that has been getting fans thrilled about is the casting news where various actors have been speculated as to who would play Joel and Ellie.

Screen Rant recently reported that although the Joel role is still vacant and actors are still being considered for the male lead, it is starting to look like that "Game Of Thrones" star Maisie Williams would most likely take on the casting role of Ellie in the "The Last Of Us" movie.

Sometime last year, Williams already confirmed that she already talked about the movie executives and that she is just waiting for an offer and confirmation about the movie.

"I had a lunch a little while ago and we spoke about the possibility of me playing Ellie and that's really exciting and I would absolutely love to," Williams revealed. "They announced at Comic-Con that we had spoken about it, and since then in like every interview people have been asking me about it."

"Honestly I would love to and I think they would love me to play Ellie also, and that's where it is at the moment," she said. "There's no script, no director, it's still very early days for the whole project, but if it all goes ahead soon enough I think, yeah, I would love to."

As for the role of Joel, "The Last Of Us" movie cast rumors point out that Dylan McDermott, Gerard Butler and Chris Pratt are being considered to take on the main role.

Although there are no official words regarding "The Last Of Us" movie even its cast, fans believe that the studio would start to work on it after the release of "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" game on the PlayStation 4, which is scheduled to come out in March 2016.
