Fans Send EXO Names To Mars Through NASA Space Program

EXO fans are getting very clever with their gifts, this time sending the names of at least three EXO members to Mars through a NASA space program.

NASA, the American space exploration and aeronautics agency, has launched a space program where the public can submit their names which will be put in a microchip that will fly on future NASA exploration flights and Mars missions.

EXO fans submitted the names of Jongdae Kim (Chen), Chanyeol Kim (Chanyeol) and Baekhyeon Byun (Baekhyun) for a scheduled departure on March 4, 2016 to Mars.

The space flight tickets for all three members were posted on the popular Korean forum Instiz, which gained attention due to the apparent dedication and creativity of EXO fans.

"This is real? I thought it was photoshopped. My god, EXO's fans are even at a different level" and "These boys are going to cause a scene even on Mars," said online commenters.

According to the NASA website, the EXO names will begin their journey on a dime-sized microchip and will fly on space flights, accruing miles in the process for each subsequent trip.

EXO fans - collectively known as EXO-L - are famous for pampering their idols with gifts as a sign of their devotion. In March, fans raised money for a museum.

EXO-L celebrated their first anniversary as an official fan club earlier this month.

EXO will reportedly make their official Japanese debut before the year ends.
