Ciara is allegedly distracting Russell Wilson from football, said a report from The News Tribune. The coach of the Seattle Seahawks has spoken up about their quarterback's highly publicized relationship, and the NFL star was quick to defend his singer girlfriend.

Coach Pete Carroll explained that he is aware of how all the media attention surrounding Ciara and Russell Wilson's relationship could cause his star player to get distracted.

"We do talk a lot, about what's going on, what's coming. Just staying in connection with all that he's going through. It's a lot," Pete Carroll said.

"He has tremendous responsibility and he handles it beautifully. We try to just stay on topic.

"I don't want him to be too far away from all of the things that we communicate on that keeps us close to football. He doesn't let that happen. But I'm on top of that," the coach added.

The outspoken devout Christian then explained that his team and their fans don't have to worry about him not knowing his priorities.

"First of all is my faith. And then my family, and then football," Russell Wilson said.

"All the rest comes with it, which is great. That's not a bad thing.

"I've always been better busy. I like more on my plate. Keeps me zoned in. Keeps me focused. Keeps me organized. So I don't think it's a bad thing, at all," the football star explained.

Ciara and Russell Wilson only started dating a few months ago. However, rumors have been circulating about how they are already planning to get married. Reportedly, they have also started investing in properties together.

"Marriage licenses have been applied for," a source revealed, reported by Music Times.

"They already have purchased a house and even a yacht."

The "Body Party" singer and football star's relationship has also been controversial because of comments made by Ciara's ex-fiance, hip-hop artist Future.

She and the "Just Like Bruddas" rapper share a one-year-old son, Future Wilburn Zahir.

According to Hollywood Life, the rapper dissed the couple after photos of Russell Wilson taking care of his son started circulating. The mother-and-son tandem have also been constant visitors at the Seattle Seahawks training camp.

"Leave my son out of all the publicity s-t," Future tweeted last July. "Just leave him out of your relationship, because we don't need your relationship for anything."
