Watch out America, CL is coming for your fashion awards.

CL, the leader and rapper of Korean girl group 2NE1, attended the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) on Sunday night, and gained a lot of attention even though she is still relatively unknown in the United States. CL's style was highlighted by several media outlets, including the fashion-oriented website Refinery29.

CL was the second in Refinery29's list of "The 16 Most #BreakTheInternet Looks From The VMAs."

"K-Pop superstar CL, from group 2NE1, might have been missing the rest of her girl gang, but she came to the VMAs with her family ties represented. She wore a Moschino creation designed by her BFF, one Jeremy Scott," wrote Refinery 29. "This choker-to-waistbelt chain harness is definitely more interesting than your garden-variety accessory."

Not only did Scott, the Creative Director of Moschino, design CL's outfit, he also brought CL to the VMAs as his date. The two appeared on the red carpet together, alongside Victoria's Secret Angel Stella Maxwell. 

Scott hosted this year's red carpet pre-show. 

The pair also appeared together on the Sept. cover of Paper Magazine. 

CL was also highlighted on Fuse's list of the best photos from the VMAs red carpet. 

The 2NE1 singer is in North America and undergoing preparations ahead of the release of her first English album, produced by Scooter Braun.
