After successfully completing his basic military training, TVXQ's Yunho has officially been placed in the 26th Mechanized Infantry Division as part of the military band.

On August 31, SM Entertainment officials revealed his placement in the band. "He fits well in this position because he is a musician," SM Entertainment shared according to a report by EToday.

EToday also revealed that the 26th Division was also currently lacking members for its band, so Yunho's enlistment came at a very opportune time especially with over 10 years of activity in the music industry under his belt.

Entertainment officials further expressed that his place in the army is ideal because Yunho joined the military at a later age compared to many other recruits. Furthermore, they shared, "We hope he can carry out the duration of his service without health problems until the end."

Yunho enlisted on July 21 and completed his five weeks of basic training on August 27. He also received the Best Recruitment Award at the completion ceremony.

He will serve in the military band for the next 21 months of his mandatory service.
