T-ARA's Hyomin To Throw 1st Pitch At September 13 Pittsburgh Pirates Game

At the invitation of an American pro baseball friend, T-ARA's Hyomin will be throwing the first pitch of a Pittsburgh Pirates game on September 13, reports Allkpop.

Despite T-ARA's busy schedule as they continue music show promotions for their new song "So Crazy," Hyomin will be flying out of Korea on September 11 at 10:40 AM to fulfill her duties at the sporting event.

"I'm honored to take part in such a place and I'll do my best not to be a bother," she reportedly said.

Kang Jung Ho, the third baseman and shortstop for the major league baseball team Pittsburgh Pirates, invited Hyomin to do the honors.

Hyomin follows the trend of K-Pop female idols throwing the first pitch in baseball games such as Girls' Generation members and 2NE1's CL throwing the first pitch of various LA Dodgers games.

In an amusing coincidence, Hyomin will be throwing ceremonial first pitch for a baseball team with the word 'pirates' in its name when the girl group has just made a comeback with a nautical concept.

Aside from their fresh comeback, T-ARA has also gained attention in recent weeks as their fans, known as QUEENs, participated in the heated competition of Billboard's Fan Army Face Off. It came to a point that One Direction fans accused T-ARA fans of cheating. T-ARA went on to win the whole competition, beating Beyonce fans in the finals.
