Ellen DeGeneres has unveiled huge plans for her TV Show's new season kickoff next week. But some are wondering if her wife, "Scandal" actress Portia De Rossi will also play a big role in the upcoming season as rumors of her possibly making a directorial debut swirl.

According to a report on Radar Online, the "Scandal" actress has always dreamed of directing a project.

"Portia's always happier when she's working and directing a TV show or movie has been a lifelong goal," the source revealed.

But it seems the Portia De Rossi won't be taking over directing Ellen DeGeneres' TV show anytime soon. As mentioned in the report, the TV host has a different plan for her wife.

"Ellen has every intention of making Portia's directing dream come true and she and her production company are actively looking for a script for Portia to make her directorial debut on," the source added.

Even without a participation from the "Scandal" actress, the 13th season of "The Ellen Show" will go big this year. It will launch in Los Angeles on Sept. 8, according to NBC New York. Among her guests in the premiere week are Caitlyn Jenner and Nobel Peace Prize recipient Malala Yousafzai.

But the come Sept. 10, the whole show will be done in New York for presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's "first talk show" appearance amid her campaign.

"Six days to Season 13!" DeGeneres tweeted. "Premiere Week starts in LA & ends in NYC! I'm so excited. I haven't been bicoastal since college."

Aside from Clinton, DeGeneres will also talk with "Tonight Show" host Jimmy Fallon in New York. Pink will also appear on the show to launch the new them song of the talk show.

While Ellen DeGeneres' TV show and Portia De Rossi's career continue to be successful, the couple is also mourning. As reported by E! Online, motivational speaker Wayne Dyer, who officiated their wedding in 2008, succumbed to leukemia a few days ago.
