EXO Win Musician Of The Year At 42nd Annual Korean Broadcasting Awards

The annual Korean Broadcast Awards were held on Thursday, with big winners, including one K-pop act.

SM Entertainment boy group EXO won the musician of the year award 42nd Korea Broadcasting Awards on September 3. The annual Korean Broadcasting Awards celebrate accomplishments made by TV programs and Korean entertainers between June of the previous year to May of the year they are being held in.

EXO's Suho, Chanyeol, and Baekhyun were present to receive the award.

Suho, the leader of EXO, thanks SM Entertainment's founder Lee Soo Man, SM Entertainment's staff, EXO's managers, EXO's parents, and EXO's fans, EXO-L.

"We want to share this honor with the music show producers, writers, cameramen, and staff," Suho said. "We will always try our best to be the K-pop star EXO."

Chanyeol and Baekhyun also expressed their thanks.

The television show 'Infinity Challenge' won the Grand Prize of the night, becoming the first variety show in 16 years to achieve the title.

EXO made their comeback in 2015 with their second studio album, "Exodus," on March 30. The title track, "Call Me Baby," won eighteen awards on weekly Korean music shows. The group released a repackaged version of the album, "Love Me Right" on June 3.

Along with activities as a group, EXO's individual members made names for themselves in 2014-5, despite three members leaving the group during that time period. Several members, notably D.O and Chanyeol, pursued acting careers, while others, particularly Chen and Baekhyun, made names for themselves as soloists.
