With SM Entertainment girl group Red Velvet making a comeback this month with "The Red," fans are curious whether the group will stay true to their name by making a follow-up in a different style.

On Thursday, the first official teaser for the Red Velvet's upcoming title track, "Dumb Dumb," was released on YouTube. As noted by allkpop, the sound will presumably match that of their hit singles "Ice Cream Cake" and "Happiness."

Reportedly, "Dumb Dumb" is an "uptempo pop dance track with a groovy beat and addictive hook," produced by London-based team LDN Noise, who also composed "View" and "Married to the Music" by SHINee.

"The countdown begins," wrote LDN Noise's Greg Bonnick on Instagram. "Red Velvet's 'The Red' drops on Sept. 9, 2015 along with the single 'Dumb Dumb!"

However, by calling their first full-length album "The Red," fans are predicting that the group will follow up with a re-release that will honor the other side to their name, similar to "Automatic" and "Be Natural."

"The album is called 'The Red' so I suspect the repackage will be 'The Velvet' and have another [title track]," commented Mochimiu on YouTube.

This also be their first full-length project with the newest member Yeri, who joined the group as its fifth member for "Ice Cream Cake."

"Ever since we were little, Yeri and I played and talked a lot," said Red Velvet member Seulgi according to allkpop.

"I know about Yeri's merits so when I heard the news, I thought, 'Looks like our group color is getting an upgrade. We're the quiet type, but now it feels like we are fresher. I like that a fun and bubbly friend joined us."

Reportedly, while there were theories that as many as seven additional members could join Red Velvet to become a 12-member group, the current members confirmed that there "will be no more changes."

According to various reports, popular SM Entertainment group f(x) will also come back this fall. Allegedly, f(x) will follow Red Velvet and return as a four-member girl group towards the end of this month.
