Big Bang Join Forces With China's Largest IT Company For New Mobile Game

South Korean entertainment agency YG Entertainment is partnering with China's biggest IT company for a new mobile game.

YG Entertainment and Tencent recently announced a business partnership to develop a new mobile game using as models, one of South Korea's hottest music acts.

The two powerhouse companies have come together to create a new mobile game titled Jun Min Cho Shin, which features as its main models, the members of YG's most popular boy band, Big Bang.

Jun Min Cho Shin is a live MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) game. Without any particular type of marketing, there have already been reports that the game ranks first among free iOS downloads according closed Beta tests.  Even before its release, it has received great feedbacks from users. 

Big Bang is not only involved in the advertisements for the new game, but will also take part in the promotion of all its items, events, and new marketing strategies.  This is the first time Tencent has collaborated with an artist for a game, showing the company's new leap in the marketing arena.

A staff member of Tencent told media outlets, "It's so great to be able to collaborate with such an influential star in China."

Jun Min Cho Shin featuring Big Bang officially launched on Sept. 1.
