Fashion Designs By Singer-Actress Yoon Eun Hye Under Suspicion For Plagarism

Korean actress-singer Yoon Eun Hye came under fire for allegedly copying clothing designs that she presented on the Chinese television program, "The Goddess' New Outfit."

At least three of Yoon Eun Hye's outfits from the show came under scrutiny, following claims by the Korean designer Yoon Choon Ho that Yoon Eun Hye copied one of his designs. Yoon Eun Hye's's agency, Jarma Entertainment, denied Yoon Choon Ho's claims on Monday.

Following Yoon Choon Ho's allegations, other outfits presented by Yoon Eun Hye were also revealed to be suspected of plagiarism.

Yoon Choon Ho shared a side-along comparison of both designs on Facebook. Yeon Eun Hye's agency claimed that Yoon Choon Ho was using the similarities for marketing purposes.

"We regret that he accused [Yoon Eun Hye] of plagiarism via social media without offering verified information," said Jarma Entertainment, according to the K-pop Herald. "We hope [designer] Yoon doesn't use the name Yoon Eun Hye to promote his brand ahead of the fall/winter season."

Jarma Entertainment said that Yoon Eun Hye was inspired by brands like Victor & Rolf and Lanvin.

Both Yoon's outfits are white jackets with similarly overlapping collars and white frills on sleeves.

Following the incident, Korean media outlets revealed similarities with high end fashion brands, BCBG and Dolce & Gabbana.

Yoon Eun Hye began appearing on the second season of the Chinese reality show, "The Goddess' New Outfit" this summer.

The actress-singer debuted as a member of Baby V.O.X 1997, and made a name for herself as an actress in popular Korean dramas, including "Goong" and "Coffee Prince."
