Maroon 5 Issue Video Apology To South Korean Fans For Rescheduled Daegu Concert

Maroon 5's Adam Levine offered an apology to Korean fans after canceling a concert last minute.

On Sept. 6, Maroon 5's Daegu concert, part of the group's Maroon V Tour, was suddenly postponed less than two hours prior opening. The group received widespread backlash from Korean fans, who had spent time and money traveling to the southern city.

Levine recorded a video, which was then broadcasted on Korea's TBC channel news show later in the week.

"Hey everyone, this is Adam Levine of Maroon 5," the lead singer said. "We are so truly sorry that we couldn't make the show in Daegu. We were so excited to see it for the first time, we've never been before. But we'll be back on Thursday so hopefully it wasn't too much of an inconvenience. We love you, we love you, we can't wait to see you guys."

He ended the video by blowing a kiss at fans.

Shortly after the Daegu concert was cancelled, Levine posted a picture on Instagram showing himself wearing a neck brace.

"Hey guys. sorry we had to reschedule..." he wrote on Sept. 6. "I posted this photo of sad neck brace Adam purely for your sympathy. See you Thursday! #Maroon5 #Vtour2015."

The Daegu show was postponed until and held on Sept. 10, while the group were able to perform at their Sept. 7 show in Seoul without any issues.

Fans took to social media to express their disappointment. Many Korean fans took to Maroon 5's official Facebook page and commented in either Korean or English about how sad they were, and the difficulties that many would face trying to attend the show on Thursday.

"My [and] my hubby came to Daegu for the concert," wrote Hayli Cho. "We regretfully have to sell our tickets because we will work on Thursday."

"Can anyone help?" asked Lesley Rutter. "I had tickets for last night, but I cannot attend on Thursday, it is too far."

Fans also expressed anger at the concert being cancelled less than two hours prior to the show, and wrote about the confusion at the concert due to lack of proper communication from the concert staff and organizers.

Maroon 5 has had several issues throughout the "Maroon V Tour," and had to also cancel shows in Liverpool, England on May 29 and Sept. 1 in Osaka, Japan.
