Scott Foley and Jennifer Garner may have been friends once upon a time but it is purported that their friendship ended the moment they divorced. The "Scandal" actor was even reportedly banned from talking to Ben Affleck's ex-wife.

According to a report on Radar Online, the "Scandal" actor and his wife Marika Dominczyk have agreed in the past that communicating with an ex was a big no-no.

"Scott and Marika have a very happy home relationship, and he's said from the get-go that he will never, ever make contact with any of his exes, least of all his ex-wife," an insider revealed to the source above.

It was not clear though if Dominczyk felt threatened now that Garner has parted ways with Ben Affleck. But the "Let's Kill Ward's Wife" apparently has warned Foley.

"There's no relationship, friendly or otherwise, between Scott and Jennifer now -- and Marika would leave him in a heartbeat if he tried to change that, because to her it would be totally inappropriate," the insider added.

Scott Foley got married to Jennifer Garner in 2000 after meeting on the set of "Felicity." But they divorced after the latter rose to fame doing "Alias." He even opened up years later that Garner's fame led to their divorce.

"Jennifer became a huge celebrity," he told TV Guide back in 2005 as quoted by ET Online. "She became a huge star, and she deserved everything she got. There was no other relationship, there was no infidelity, nothing. People get divorced, you know? Through no one's fault and everyone's fault." 

In 2010, Garner also opened up about her divorce with the "Scandal" actor.

"It was a huge heartbreak for me to have something fail like that," he told Parade magazine then. "I knew that this was either an opportunity for growth or I would sink."

Scott Foley now enjoys a "pretty simple" life with wife Marika Dominczyk and their three kids as he told People back in February. Jennifer Garner, on the other hand, continue to be spotted together with Ben Affleck after they both announced their separation.
