Mischa Barton Doesn’t Miss 'The O.C.' Co-Stars? Dispels Reunion Rumors!

Mischa Barton is so over anything connected with "The O.C." Recently, she even dismissed rumors of a possible show reunion sending rumors in frenzy that she might still be in bad terms with her former co-stars.

In an interview with ET Canada, the actress couldn't help but laugh off the possibility of a reunion.

"No. I doubt very much [that will happen]," she pointed out.

She even insisted that it won't do any of the character's justice if it they get replicated again.

"I just think that those characters they had a life of their own and they burned out very fast because they were such fascinating characters," Mischa Barton said. "Every time you try to replicate something it doesn't really happen, and after "The O.C." there were a slew of things like it [that were] more salacious even. I feel like you can't revisit. There's nowhere to go with it."

The reaction from her statement were mixed. While some understood, some fans expressed they won't mind if a remake was done without her. Barton's character was killed off the show before it even ended.

It was not clear if the actress had other reasons for not wanting to do a remake or a reunion, including not wanting to spend time with her former co-stars again. But in an interview with Metro in 2014, she admitted that she even hesitated doing the show before it even started.

"It's something I came so close to not doing," she explained. "I had a really great thing with film. People say be grateful for what you have but it certainly not the kind of thing I was expecting it to be...I've kind of seen it all."

But back in 2013, rumors also swirled that the actress was not welcome at all by some of her former co-stars.

"It's really sad because [Mischa's] literally trying to set up dinners to make amends and Rachel [Bilson] is telling everybody to 'ignore her and she'll go away,'" a source told Radar Online then.

The rumor was not confirmed.

Cam Gigandet, who starred in the show for several season and had scenes with Barton, does not reportedly like his co-stars as well on the show.

"Mischa? I didn't really..." he told Elle magazine last year. "Was she there? I don't even have memories of her."

While Mischa Barton seem keen to keep distance from her former co-stars, some of them were open to a reunion. Autumn Reeser, who currently stars in "The O.C. Musical," got a huge support from co-stars Rachel Bilson, Melinda Clarke and Kelly Rowen as well as creator Josh Schwartz during the play last month.  Even Ben McKenzie was hopeful for a reunion when asked by E! Online in June.
