Yang Hyun Suk Teases Next iKON Release

iKON may have charmed fans with the newly released song "My Type," but YG Entertainment founder Yang Hyun Suk said this is only a sweet "appetizer" to the boy group's debut promotions, reports Allkpop.

In an interview with Ilgan Sports, Yang Hyun Suk reacted to the success of iKON's new track and hinted at what's in store for the rookie group.

"I was very happy when iKON rose up to number one on the charts," says Yang Hyun Suk upon news that "My Type" has reached the top of many music charts upon release. "I'm so thankful to all the fans that've been showing their support."

"'My Type' is like an appetizer with a sweet and sour taste that stimulates the appetite. The mini-album and full-album coming out in October and [November] are the main course. We'll be presenting you all with a taste and fragrance that will surprise you," Yang Hyun Suk added.

The founder had also hinted before that at least four more music videos will be pushed out as part of the promotions parade for iKON's debut album, which took more than year to make.

It has also been reported previously that iKON will be hosting their first concert in October at the Seoul Olympic Gymnastics Arena, which can seat up to 15,000 fans and is typically booked for concerts of more established K-Pop groups. The choice of venue has elicited impressive comments from observers, and a confident affirmation from Yang Hyun Suk that the group's passion for making music will naturally attract a lot of fans.
